I love snow too, it gives me a rush of excitement for some reason so long as I don't have to travel in it. Jasmine, you've got tons of flowers on your Sarcococca, do you feed it with anything?

When I looked out the window at 1:30am it was completely covered in white and you could see every detail with the reflected light from the snow. By morning we had a bit of a thaw but there was still a covering then I spotted this poor little frozen bunny on the bin .... it won't be eating your plants Jas ;D x Tig

It gets fed with miracle gro in the summer months LG. It's in a tall pot and I really must get it in the ground this year as it's getting very big!

Those are great snowy pics Tig, it must be very cold there. Thanks Jasmine, yours has done very well to be grown in a pot and get so big. I must feed mine this year, I've got it in the bed. Would a sprinkle of BFB be helpful to it do you think? I am happy with how it's growing, I tried for years in pots with no success.

BFB sounds perfect LG - I don't use it as the dogs like it and will grub about anywhere they can smell it. What a dear little ice bunny Tig!

Oh yes that is lovely. John "Grey" looks pretty white there ;D one does wonder where all names come from. Was John Gray a well known snowdrop grower?

Thank you for the noms ladies You got me wondering about the name Dutchy but I can't find an explanation in either of my snowdrop books or in the Avon catalogue

I'd give it a 5th Jasmine, it really brings home the fact that these delicate yet strong little flowers fight against all the elements to bloom.

Thanks LG! I think they look happier (if that's the right word!) in the snow than they do in minus temperatures but they are amazing little flowers!
