Ye lucky one! Every one is gathering strawberries by now but I had a bit of a mishap last winter and my strawberries are only just beginning to give some fruits. Ah well I will drool over other peoples goodies and share the little bit I have with the blackbirds who need to live too.

Nice Cauli that Tig, my crop is not quite ready yet! But that is how I plan it! My Calabrese usually come first as you can see here, then just as I finish cropping it, the Cauli are usually ready, so I get a bit of continuation. Then after that a later variety of Calabrese generally comes into play!

I have never done much good with calabrese, they always seem to bolt on me - I've got savoy cabbage cropping as well at the moment, and will have courgettes by the end of the week. We had cauli for tea, it was lovely.

Pleased that you liked them isabella - I gave them to two people here as well and their kids have gone mad for them... Have you got all the three colours - red, yellow and orange?? If one is missing let me know and I will send you some more seeds...I do like them as they ripen well. Nothing more to do than bung them in a paper bag/envelope... I am sowing some peppers now for overwintering and some in spring so that we can have a longer season. Great squash harvest !! RF

That is a grand harvest, specially the butternuts isabella! I have never managed to get more than one edible sized one, so have given up. Do you know what variety they were? The yellow mini-peppers were the only ones which didn't germinate for me, but I still have some seeds and will try again next year. I think they have ripened much better than the full sized ones.

These are the 3 pumpkins for the 3 grandkids who wanted one, Luke isn't bothered this year, Sharon has already taken the biggest for the competition at work for who grew the heaviest, the fact that I grew it doesn't seem to come into it, anyway that leaves 3 at the lotty, one for me for soup, and one each for Hubbys work mates.
