T & M really are the pits... a month of offers only on offer for the poeple in the UK. I have had a moan on Facebook but basically they couldn't care a damn - perhaps some of you that know me on FB could also say to T & M just how unjust it all is..
Not one single day in all of February is for people outside of the UK - they could give a voucher, couldn't they...I really am peed awf!!

Rosefriend I had a look at the february give away. It's like a draw thingy where people can enter into a draw for different things each day but just for those 24hours. Each time they want all your details, including your email address and telephone number. I filled in my details and kept getting a message saying I have not filled in the form correctly so it seems NI is excluded from the UK once again.  They often exclude NI from their free P&P offers as well or make us pay anyhow.

Yes I know and it makes me angry - I understand that they can't do certain things but what about vouchers as prezzies etc and as for not sending bulbs - load of rubbish - other online GC's send all over Europe. I am going to post on their FB account each and every time - I can at least bore them to death!! RF |

I also get two newsletters - one for the UK and one for the trash outside the UK, namely me....I would love to rub their noses in their compost. Nothing gets me angry quicker that something that is unjust - obviously there should be more competitions for the UK but they earn a great deal of money from sending seeds all over the world and yet they cannot be bothered to allow the members overseas to enter into a competition. Not that I would ever win - did 6 comps during December, each day, and all I won was the experience in doing them!!! I really am getting very very angry with them - not that it helps of course - even if I deleted my account they would just laugh Jasmine and Ladygardener.. RF |

I was thinking about T&M and how folk either seem to love them or loathe them. When they send out vouchers and replacements at such a rate and are very picky and choosy about where they send things how do they make any money |

I think they make their money from inexperienced gardeners Jasmine, most of the plant offers that I see in newspapers & magazines have T&M somewhere in the small print & I must say I've never had any problems with plants I've ordered from those offers, think they're very careful to get those right so they get the returning custom (at least once). A bit like insurance companies giving great deals to new customers & leaving existing customers with rubbish deals. |

I think you're right about them making money from inexperienced gardeners Jilly and then, like you, I've never had any problems with magazine offers except once they ran out of whatever the offer was so I got a refund. I've had some good magazine offers. |

T & M have got seeds on offer today on the competitions and I of course plunged in and asked why we couldn't enter on this side of the water - guess what - suddenly I could. However, as much as I tried I couldn't enter so I asked them if they were taking the wee wee!!!!
They said that if I gave them my address they would enter for me...come on T & M -you can do better than that!!
Anyoldhow I have tried again and it says that my entry has gone through...hey ho - wonder if I get my angel wings if I believe it!!

hahaha, well I emailed Sarah Ravens (no response) and facebook walled them (they did respond to that one) to say I was disappointed to receive seeds from them a few weeks ago that didn't have photos on the outside of the packet.

As Rosefriend says after me and Jenny both writing on T&M facebook wall and me getting in touch with Gardeners World Magazine where I sent the offer from I heard from both T&M and GWM today. They say end of Feb for the Clems and end of March for the Dahlia that I've ordered last november. We'll see, I don't want the Dahlia any later than end of March as I'll be wanting to start them off then at the latest. Rosefriend, at least you got a result from T&M. I love your flying pigs Jasmine. theinsidegardener in other words, don't hold your breath. All these companies want to do is take your money.!!! |

Oh yes, she's another one (Sarah Raven that is) who sells lovely colourful packets in stores but sends out white envelopes for on-line orders - I'd forgotten about that!
FB seems to be the way forward for complaints!

I have only won two things in my life - one was a tin of ciggies for my Mum when I was in kindergarten and the other was a plant here in Germany at a Christmas fair - it was so cold that when I got the plant home it did a Mexican wave and snuffed it!! Oh yes I got that with filling the form out in the compy - you have to put your road/street in Adress 1 and then in Adress 2 I had to put the town, and Germany under City, and then after that was the Postcode and I then put the German one - bet that works for you as well, cos I reckon they are classing Ireland as a foreign country...wouldn't surprise me anyway... Winning ciggies - it was a sort of open day with a raffle thing and for some reason I was given a ticket and won these cigs - a round tin of Players. In those days people could smoke openly, do all sorts of things that aren't allowed today and were very happy as well methinks!! RF |
