Jilly bagpuss, thanks very much for the noms, I hope the rest of them get a chance to flower in the garden and I've not to bring them inside as well. Those 2 really need something else in the vase with them but I did'nt have anything suitable. I don't usually like picking flowers although I've had to pick a few this summer what with one thing and another.

Thanks very much Rosefriend. They're finding it a bit difficult to stand in my garden despite supports but I do like them.

These are the lates bunch of sweetpea from the allotment along with some frilly Gladioli I'd grown up there as well. They're outside because an earwig popped out when I'd set them on the table!!!!! They're on the window sill just beside where I sit so I can still enjoy them.

Thanks very much Missredhead. I would'nt be without sweetpa and I've sown some already for next year but I have more to do. At the moment I'm picking some Dahlia that are'nt quite over but are starting to drop petals and now have them in the small containers by the door filled with water. I get to enjoy them for a few more days.

Your sweet peas are lovely, I gave up growing them as they were always covered in greenfly even when they had been sprayed and I dont want the greenfly indoors.

Missredhead, I don't blame you 'tho all summer my SP were fine. I would'nt have them in the house if I could see greenfly either. I've got some Sunflowers and Dahlia in the pots by the door now as I've dug up some that were almost over. I picked some of the 10 week stock that has been blooming since late winter time and have them at the door as well, the scent is lovely.

It's a lovely vase of flowers and I like this pic with the view of your bird feeders in the garden. Such a shame they mostly went over when you were away Chuckles, it was just one of those years. Some of my Tulips formed flowers which failed to grow and just died off, I think overcrowding might have been the cause.

I've been buying glads in sainsbuys RF, at £2.00 a bunch and they are lovely, dark purple this week. I bought the roses in the Supermarket Barbara - the colour is lovely - went to the Florists to get a rose for OH and the price difference was incredible. I paid 1.99E (1.70P) for 10 roses in the supermarket and they wanted 3.50E (nearly 3.00P) for one rose... I heard OH saying "Don't you dare" - so I went back to the supermarket and got him the same roses and took them to him. They have Glads here as well - bit more expensive but lovely colours...
