anyon ever hear of rutgers tomato before? the one i have is a hierloom seed.and im just wondering if anyone knows if thier a good seed or not..

I grew Rutgers tomatoes around 20 years ago Jimle...I seem to remember that they are a good all rounder, slice well, don't split and they are good for cooking, so I expect they would be great for canning as well, although I have never done that. I always freeze sauces with onions and garlic and then add herbs and spices when I defrost them. RF
