Have a feeling we did this last year showed our Christmas tree and decorations Here is my pre decorated tree that I fetched out of the attic yesterday Just a few decs on the mirror and mantle top including 4 tiny trees A few sparkly bits around the lamp and a glass Christmas tree This is probably one of my fave decs I'm not one for lots of decs about. I usually have white fairy lights fixed to the inside of beams but have been unable to find my box of drawing pins

No tree this year as we will be away too long for the neighbours to have to dive underneath and water it every morning. My deco is silver but very sparse still. I might get active the monday before Christmas.

Tomorrow we will look a little more like we care!! If I can make space for the tree that is - not much else Christmassy around our house (it just gathers dust - and you should know by now that I don't like extra housework!!) x Tig

To be honest I see having decs as a reason NOT to do house work for a couple of weeks ;D and I have to say the parcels on my little tree have last years dust on them ;D truly. Just had a thought if anyone asks I could say it's grey snow

Well we got the tree up yesterday and LP helped me to decorate it. OH did the white "icicle" lights outside the house this afternoon, and LP also did a little tree in her playroom. That's about it for us!

Our 3 are still in storage lol
No point me taking a pic of ma and pa's because half the declarations have been knocked off by the kitten now! Lil git she is. Bootiful, but very annoying.

I admire your restraint Plocket, in your colour choice, but mine will be more like yours Tig. I wish I still had the baubles we had when I was young. My Mum threw them all out in the sixties (she doesn't do "sentimental value") and bought new horrid shocking pink stuff. Erm.........I wonder where they went. I'm not putting mine up till nearer the end of the week.

My mum kept her tree and baubles for years - they were all tarnished and tainted when she eventually chucked them out a year or so ago. I LOVE your tree Tig but I don't have any special sentimental baubles. I wanted to change colours or add colours a few years ago but OH was anti the idea It's funny but there are LOADS more decorations on our tree, but you just can't see them because they are transparent!!!

I don't have many decorations - just a little real tree with some lights and a few baubles. Smallest has her sister's plastic tree in her room which she has covered with all sorts of things and given free rein to her OTT side! ;D She loves it.... I made another Solstice wreath this year with things from the garden - periwinkle for the winter sky, honesty for the moon, conifer and laurel for life continuing, hop flowers for good cheer, viburnum tinus flowers and rosebuds for life to come and golden tinsel for the winter sun, all very simple and biodegradable (apart from the tinsel):

Oh that is beautiful 4P. I usually make a door wreath but haven't this year, and it wouldn't be nearly as pretty as yours.

I love the home-made decorations - they look very professional The Grandchildren are making a wreath with me tomorrow - it won't look as good as the ones posted already, but I will try and remember to take a photo before they take it home x Tig
