Well thats good to hear Geranium, I was thinking that he maybe is in pain and feeling miserable when he was growling at you I know we saw a big change in my inlaws lovely collie when he was suffering with arthritis, the Vet gave M.I.L little blue pills to give him, there was no change he was still snapping and wouldn't go out , so he came to the house to put him to sleep when she picked her long haired rug up to give it a shake ! all the pills fell out, he had been spitting them out and they thought he had taken them no wonder there was no improvement ! he was 14 years old and sadly missed by all of us.

W have to watch Henry carefully as he's a pill-spitting champion! We use liver pate to hide his pills but sometimes even then we find one on the floor, maggy. Another night with no howling - the tranquilisers do help him sleep.

Unfortunately, H had a seizure while he was staying with Eva - a nasty shock for her. She kept her head and phoned some doggy neighbours who came to help. They rang the vet too, who was helpful. They got some tranquillisers down him somehow. We're not sure why he had it, unless he fooled Eva and spat out his meds...It could have been a reaction against being away from home. Anyway, he's fine now.

Its frightening to watch Geranium, the first time Tim had one I rang the emergency Vet she reassured me that her dog had had one a couple of years before and was fine, which Tim was, it was when he was 14 they became more frequent and by then he had quite a bad heart murmur. All you can do is enjoy him make him happy worrying wont make the trouble go away old age is something we cant do much about!! the little begger howling isnt helping ! is he still at it.?

Geranium, glad that Henry is ok, how lucky that Eva was able to look after him although I'm sure it must be frightening to see the little guy having a seizure.
