Has anyone got one??? I was at the Docs recently and he said that my Liver levels are high - a) due to gene problems and b) due to too much of the good stuff!! Mrs Bucket, has been going on about her Hot Air thingy for ages, how good it is etc etc. Anyway - I happened to go in at some point with a parcel that came to me as they were out and she had just finished some pork and chips in her Hot Air Deep fryer - asked me to try and I was impressed. Very impressed and decided after visiting the Docs that I would buy one...did so and on Sunday I made a Pork steak and chips with salad...it was wonderful, really good and far less fat, which is what I need. The instructions are basically not very good so I got some time tips from Mrs Bucket (she likes her meat dead as a dodo) so I took a few minutes off and I am getting there... This is it.. I forgot to get some pics on Sunday but did today when I decided that I needed to eat some sausages and did them in the HADF... They were lovely, juicy and sooo less fatty... Now look at the fat at the bottom - I have not wiped it off, - seriously... I realise that for a family it would be too small but for one/two people it is ideal - the meat is wonderful - very tender and juicy...I have bought a steak for the weekend - looking forward to trying it out. The chips were really crispy (did use frozen chips) and lovely. Mrs Bucket did Hamburgers in it the other day and said they were very good... Still got loads to try out and you can apparently bake bread and cakes in them as well. I am going to try fried tomatoes and bacon next....found a recipe on the web...

Is that the same as the acti fryer does anyone know? Looks good RF I don't know Missredhead, perhaps Ladygardener, would know. I have done a loin chop and tonight a marinated rumpsteak both were very good. I am going to do a few chips tomorrow - Mrs Bucket did them but up to now I have never tried... One thing I must say is that the food does taste a little different but it is the lack of fat on the outside...I am very happy and I also don't have that really full feeling anymore when I have finished eating...

I'll have to look into it...I do know that with the acti fryer you add a very small amount of oil so maybe it's not the same thing...

Missredhead the actifry is made by Tefal but there are loads of companies now who have air fryers where you don't use any oil at all. They're all very healthy 'tho, including the actifry.

Thank LG.....I like the idea of one but don't have the room to put it.... I would'nt either, I already have my George Foreman and Steamer sitting out and the fryer would make the kitchen very cluttered.
