I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we could document what flowers/shrubs we have in bloom each month. I've added what's blooming in the garden to what's bloomng at the plot below.
I've got lots of lovely bright orange Calendula along with some paler ones still blooming, Sarcocca smelling devine, Nemesia, Daphne Perfume Princess smelling fab, Salvia African Skies and Amistead still have flowers, I found blue and white Borage both in bloom, Hellibore, Primroses, Wallflowers 2 different types and Roses 3 different types. 2 different varieties of Viola and one flower on the Ornamental Quince.

Yesterday I had calendula, hellebores, primula, scented stocks, clematis cirrhosa freckles, salvia hotlips, abutilon megapotamicum, lonicera frangrantissima, and even a fuchsia with flowers, after the hard overnight frost I think quite a few will have been hit and die off.

Just noticed a lot of snowdrops in the garden that are ready to flower if there is some sunshine - the later ones like Grumpy are just poking above the soil! Will get some pictures!

I love Snowdrops but they never seem to last in my garden. We'll see what springtime brings Jasmine. I always look forward to your pics. Jenny had Hamamelis in flower when I was down for Christmas Tig. Is there a strong scent of yours? It's one of those things I can't smell unfortunately. I forgot to say that I have still a few flowers opening on one of the Hollyhocks.

The red witchhazel Dianne has no scent LG, but I have yellow one called Arnolds Promise which is fragrant, and despite my permanently blocked nose I can just about get a whiff off it.

Yesterday while I was tidying up the borders, I found a pot with Clematis Freckles in it. It has never bloomed for me but now I have 2 beautiful flowers, I'm delighted.

You've been good and tidied up though RF If it weren't for my love of hellebores I wouldn't have much else flowering, and we've been quite lucky with the weather so far this winter. Have you got buds on your camellias?

We've had maybe 2 days of frost the whole winter so far so there's still a lot of life. We don't usually get the high temps like the rest of the UK but we don't so often get the very low ones either. You get much lower temps than we do Rosefriend. Do you grow Hellibores?

I thought you did, it's still very early 'tho Rosefriend. I cut back some/most of the leaves from my big one a couple of weeks ago and now I see new buds coming through the ground.

No Tig, Grumpy is just nosing through the ground as it is a late one like Washfield Wareham which I have shared with some folk - can't remember who!

Well I got right down and kept my glasses on yesterday and found 2 small clumps (would 4 - 6 be clumps ) of Snowdrops. I'm delighted. Unfortunately Jasmine, I've had small furry things in the garden too.

Some of mine disappear from one year to the next Ladygardener, I blame small furry things! Galanthus are not edible to small furry things, they are poisonous. More likely cause is basal rot.

I'm glad you found some snowdrops Ladygardener! I also thought of narcissus fly too OB although I don't put anything past the small furry things in my garden - something regularly munches my foxgloves away to stumps and whatever does that must end up with a bad tummy ache - or worse!!!

That's a stunning pic with the sun behind them Jasmine. I'm not surprised you can't smell anything with your cold/bug. Those Snowdrops look like they're a right size.

They're a lovely size Ladygardener, and because they bulk up well there are lots of them so I don't mind cutting them to fill a vase indoors!
