I've been a couple of times Ladygardener and the tulip planting is always stunning although very dependent on the weather. Got a refund on the collection today, they were trying to blame last summer although I think you can blame it for lots of things packing the wrong packet of tulips into a collection is not one of them!

Well that's a good result from SR but I know you'd rather have the proper tulips blooming. I took this pic of a Clematis that blooms each spring over a wall on my way to the plot. The leaves are red and there's something else growing in along with it but I do think it's lovely if a bit big.

That's so pretty Ladygardener! Every night when I go for my bath I get this view at the moment. It is our Discovery with Rosa Alfred Carriere growing through it. The blossom smells gorgeous!

I think it depends on the variety Barbara,as well as how sheltered and how much Sun they get. Those are Bell Bank, Farmer John Cross, and Totally Tangerine.

I think mine is Mrs Bradshaw, but it was bought from a lady selling for charity so it could be anything.

Smashing pics Jasmine. Does anyone else think things in the spring garden have been early this year? Almost all of the blossom has gone off the trees and my Tulip are all out or over.

I'm not sure Ladygardener, things have always seemed to flower quicker with you and maybe city temperatures didn't get the chance to dip as low as they might so things got going quicker. It'll be something scientific!!! I would say we are pretty much on time, I find it hard to judge as Easter moves about and the holidays move about too at this time of the year so there's nothing set to say the daffs are always over by Easter and so on...

Barbara, I do like your planting at the front of the house, it's a beautiful carpet. Love all your Aquilegia and those cute little Viola. Rosefriend, spring really has spung for you, love those Narcissus and that blossom is jaw dropping. How lovely it all is. I must have a look back and see how this year compares to last year with regard to how things are growing and blooming. The Elderberry flowers are blooming on the big bushes across the road. I think this month has really flown too Jasmine. Another bank holiday weekend ahead.
