I can't believe it's July already!! Poppies I'd sown along the footpath at the plot in bloom yesterday. This year I planted some of the Sweetpea into a trench I'd made over the winter, the result has been great. Hollyhock at the plot yesterday.

Lovely Tig, some of mine on the allotments are just brown sticks, I'm going to dig them up and clean the bulbs and see if that helps for next year.

I hate it when you miss them and that happens Barbara, I caught three today, first ones for over a week, so back to checking daily and watching for the grubs on the bottom leaves.

Mostly doing well Ladygardener, the sack is full of weeds, I started last night but there were too many bitey things so I got up early the morning and got the lot done! We've lost one plant and I can see a few more spaces!!!

Cut back a big clover type thingy and found my arisema lurking behind it. It's only ever had one flower on it before, bought it as a bulb from GW live in 2006. I think it's happy.

Looking great Jasmine, it's good to get the weeding out of the way and you can enjoy the rest of your holiday looking at lovely plants. I'm sure that they're very happy you sorted out watering for them too, with this year being so hot there. How very unusual Cheerypeabrain, .

Dad's glads! I've dead headed them but there is one flower spike left to come. They must've lain dormant for 5 years with no watering system in place and being watered this year has brought them back. I wondered what had happened to them! First flower on Pandora Jasminoides as well!

Your garden looks so abundant maggy, I spotted Toby too, he has to get in on the act. Love the Diasica with the Hosta. I'm sure you're delighted to see your Dad's Gladioli Jasmine. Barbara, your Achellia is blooming this year and I love it.

Lovely pictures maggy and I like your achillea too Ladygardener! I'm hoping Pandora manages winter Tig as really tender stuff like bourgenvillea won't.

Lovely dense planting and pops of colour Barbara. Does that Clematis have bell shaped flowers opening to flat ones or are there 2 Clematis there?

Lovely Dahlia and I love that little clump of Monarda Barbara. The Hemerocallis are great colours too, I've missed quite a few at the plot but have managed to get pics of a couple.

I bought the Monarda in quite a big pot from the GC in spring Ladygardener, stood it in water for a while then planted it out, it just sat there doing nothing I dug it up and it had a sock on it, I took it off and the plant broke up into 6 small pieces, so I've planted them around and they are finally getting going, I've never had so many hemerocallis as I have this year.

I'll bet you're glad you did break it up Barbara. I transplanted my red one around the garden and gave some away last year and it's doing great too. Here are some of my Hemerocallis at the plot.
