That white poppy is Royal Wedding if I remember rightly Ladygardener..

A few more from Jenny's garden. This is one of the big Poppies that come every year, the blooms don't last long but there are plenty of them and they're as big as your hand.


We think this might be Penstemon of some type, would anyone know? Jasmine Tig Barbara maggy anyone else?

Definitely a penstemen of some type LG, although there are that many on the market these days I have no idea which one

Yes it does look like a penstemon Ladygardener, what a lovely garden, Jen has worked hard there I remember when she moved in there wasn't much colour then was there? I would love that poppy its beautiful.

Thanks Tig maggy. Yes when Jenny moved here there were no flowers at all in her garden, just the trees. She really does have lovely green fingers and an eye for putting things together. I've absolutely loved being here these past 3 months and being able to help her in the garden as she does'nt let me do anything else and even gardening is rationed.

A few from today, the I am glad I planted the rose Handel I bought from the GG in a container ... because it isn't Handel!

Lovely Tig, I love that last unusual rose as well, it reminds me of the large carnations my Dad used to grow.

The clematis I know I have Mrs Charmonderley, Hagley hybrid and The president, the others I have long forgotten sorry















I dug the fuchsia out of the border where is was sprawling, looks much better in my cauldron.




And a pot of nemesia . And my cleared fence.

Lovely maggy, that rose is performing well, is it scented?
You've done a grand job of clearing the fence.

What a great display of Clematis you have maggy, Clearly a lot of work has gone into clearing that fence, well done.

Thanks girls I'm afraid I can't take the credit for the clear fence O.H and youngest used brute force to clear that off, I did the other side on the path side and bagged the lot.

No Tig, it's a shame that rose isn't scented, it would be lovely if it was.

I do need to feed the Clems., I used to give them a handful of lime years ago but haven't used anything other than Grow More general feed lately, any recommendations?

I use fish, blood & bone on mine, sulphate of potash in February then a couple of sprinkles of f,b & b between May & July depending on when they flower & if I remember to deadhead them.

Few more, heucheras in flower, I love the yellow spires on blondie

Thanks Tig, I will do that now I have BFB. Your heucherers are looking healthy mine are a bit sparse and another looks burned at the edges the burning is probably my watering and the other I lifted out of the border to examine its roots but then I planted it in my half tub, they wil probaby sort themselves out once the weather settles down.

Fab Heuchera Tig, I bought 2 more this morning. That Rose looks great with the Clematis.

I do like my heucheras LG, when flowers are in short supply their foliage cheers me up, and this made me smile today, a self seed viola I am calling Minnie

I brought nasturtiums home from the plot, it grows everywhere, and planted up this cone with it, I borrowed Derek's old Christmas jumper to line it as not much else would stay inside the large holes.

Very festive Barbara They'll start to dangle soon and cover it up I expect.

They seem quite happy there Barbara, good idea.

At home, Philadelphus "Belle Etoile in bloom and Jenny says it smells wonderful"
