Theoretically I have one cat, Pushy . You've met him.... Then there's his friend (possibly stray) who waits on the doorstep every morning for my fussy cat's leftovers. I call him The Guvnor cos he likes to sit on the shed roof and supervise when you're working in the garden . He's rather sweet, and quite polite and appreciative of scraps...... And now, while her M and D are on holiday, I have Smudge. She lives next-door, is a fab 15, and totally gorgeous Also very impatient..... Love 'em all. ;D

Great pics NO. Pushy is obviously well loved and very cuddly ;D Smudge (same name as our adopted cat, who is now very definitely preggers ) is an impatient madam, isn't she ;D And I love the expression on 'The Guvnor's' face - a little bit sad, but sort of hopeful.

I don't think I've posted a photo of the cat who lives in our garage She used to live across the road from us, with two dogs and another cat, which had kittens, which she hated and she ran away from home! She slept under a conifer tree in our garden, she was small and very thin. She would not go back to her owners, the lady tried to coax her in and she just ran away! I started giving her titbits, then I bought cat biscuits - the winter came and she was still sleeping under the tree - OH cut hole in garage door and made a box for her. People over the road moved away, so I guess we are stuck with her! She's been here over three years now - is a really fussy eater - and wakes me up every morning with her calls.

She is so beautiful. We went out today & I called our old boy a few times, thought it was funny he didnot come in, went out, came back, sad little cries, no sign of cat, I've found him now though, he was shut in the greenhouse which he has reorganised, bless... At least the Tomatoes & cucs are still tied up.

Tig, what a beautiful pussy (if you'll pardon the expression ). Obviously has a siamese gene somewhere, and they can be oh-so particular. Good on you for doing the necessary. Gertrude, what is it about cats and greenhouses? My Missy used to follow me in there, me unawares and she'd be 'missing' for a night or two. Poor thing.

Someone said she may be a ragdoll, or a 'birman' something like that! We call her 'cat' 'cos I didn't want to confuse her - never new what her original owners called her!

Actually, I dont know anything about cat breeds - there's loads aren't there, so dont know why I said she 'obviously' looked siamese! I think 'ragdolls' though are the kind that 'flop' when you pick them up?

She's beautiful Tig, definitely some siamese in there somewhere Got OH to cut a hole in the shed door as one of mine likes sleeping in there when he wants to get away from the other 2, saves me looking for him when he gets locked in

Buster Woos, the shed sleeper looking a lot more confident than he really is. He dribbles when he is fussed and is the biggest baby

Ever since we moved into this house there has been a 'resident' cat - first one got locked in the garage before we moved in (he was a stray ginger kitten) - called him Dennis - he stayed for several years - he never came in the house and used to sleep on my motorbike seat (I will find a piccie of him to share) - he disappeared, but about 2 years later he just returned one night sat on my bike seat! Then we never saw him again? We then got a cat who had lost her tail - she was Dibbles - regular visitor - very friendly, think she died of old age. Then this one arrived - so I reckon we attract cats (like I attract biting mozzies!!)

He's a very grand looking cat is Mr Buster Woos, jlo. There's one that visits our garden and takes up a spot on the big shed roof, only when sunny and warm though. Look so comfy dont they and of course, they cant be got at up there ;D
Tig, sounds like you're a 'cat magnet'. ;D Do you think Dennis came to say 'goodbye'? Perhaps, he's finally decided where he was going to live; hope that was it.

Your garage cat is soooo beautiful!! My cat book shows both Ragdoll and Birman as having the blue eyes, siamese colouring and white feet, but Ragdolls have a more Persian face so I think yours is more likely Birman. A very posh Pussy!!! And Jlottie, your Buster-Woo is scarily like my visitor cat, The Guvnor. Had to look twice!!!

You can change her name from cat ya know, all my cats that have been strays have obviously had their names changed and they soon start to associate what you're saying with them. Shadda only took a week or two, and feeding him helped with the association lol
She is gorrrrrrrrrrrrgeous tho!

Oh Tig!!! She's absolutely stunning!!! She looks a lot fluffier in the May photo than in your first pic. A very, very beautiful girl. How could anyone go off and leave such a gorgeous and expensive creature behind? ( though I suppose she'd already made her wishes quite clear!!!) How do you know she's neutered? By the fact she's not had any kittens I suppose..

She is very good Aprilaydee - she responds to cat! She also knows what 'no' means, and 'be quick', and 'do you want a brushy?' is not confused with 'wanna sit on your cushy?' ;D (why do we put 'y's on the end of words we use for animals? NO - not only has she not had any kittens, or any interested Toms on the prowl since she adopted us, but the site I googled said that neutered seal-point birmen females take on a darker coat as they get older - she was very blonde when she was younger, but stays a darker colour all year round now. I have to be honest - even tho' she is a pretty thing we would have done the same for her even if she had been a ugly cat

You go into baby talk with them don't you even though they still have no idea what you're saying and can just hear blah blah blah in different tones.

Cats were most put out NO, but it was a very lucky little mouse. We have fields of corn nearby and I hope he found his way home and didn't meet our other cat "Jinxy Scissor Hands" who never brings anything home alive

Oh my god what beautiful beautiful cats, i soooooo love cats, i have an extremely gorgeous and very spoilt ginger tom cat called Mars, he is my baby and follows me everywhere, and even when i'm typing this and despite the weather being lovely he's still laying on the desk with me, trying to pad on my arm. I love him so much, i will try and get some pictures to put on!! Your cats are lovely guys !!

Skarloey!! They are almost identical aren't they?? Even down to the smug smile! ;D Has Poppy got a pale sandy coloured tummy with leopard spots?? If so, they are definite twins!! Also Pushy has white back feet, but from the rear looks like he is wearing long black stockings with big white holes in the heels! ;D Archie is lovely Is he an old chap?

Anyone got a plaster? Just tried to have a look at Poppies tummy and am now bleeding profusely....... oooh she is evil!!!! ;D She HATES affection, you can only stroke her behind her ear if your arm is behind her and putting on the spot-on flea treatment...... She will sit next to you on the sofa in deepest winter if she is REALLY cold and will wind her head up your legs if she's really hungry but that's about it!!! Oh, and she has 4 white socks.... no stockings but they sound great! Archie, on the other hand, is my great big baby, I hold him like a baby, he isn't actually on my lap ATM, which is unlike him but if he's in, he wants all your attention. ;D We were told when we rescued him in 2000 that he was 3 and a half although I don't really know how they could tell this as he was a stray. Neither of them hunt thankfully and I am sure this has something to do with them being brought in every night... either that or they are just bone idle!!! ;D

Oh dear Skarloey, sorry to have got you scarred for life!!!! My Pushy will not be picked up, and only sit on you if it's his idea, but a couple of rubs with your foot will have him over on his back, legs akimbo like a big tart!!! ;D He wil stay like that for any amount of tummy rubbing. By hand or foot, he doesn't care once he's flat on his back, he's away with the fairies!!! ;D ;D
