Right, I have purchased my Sankey 300 Growarm. Its plugged in in the living room. I've put in it 1 x seed tray (gonna be for my sweetpeas), and 7 little pots, 5 x for 2 tom seeds each, 1 x peppers (2 seeds) and 1 x chilli (2 seeds). I've dampened the matt and stuck a soil thermometer in the soil (John Innes seed soil) to see what temp it gets up to.
My Sweetpeas need soaking over night in wamr water so I've put 3 espresso cups with about an inch of water in each into the propagator for the water to keep warm then I shall put the seeds in there tonight reading for planting tomorrow.
Would I be correct in saying that a propagator is only for starting and germinating the plants, once they have 2-4 leaves I can lant them into bigger pots in the unheated gh?? or will I need to keep them in the heated propagator for a while? worst comes to worst I guess I could put in bigger pots in the house until it warms up in the gh.

Sorry to be a potential killjoy to your wonderful enthusiasm….
Sweetpeas - You don’t want any heat at all for them – In fact stick in your greenhouse and let them germinate and grow slowly. If they get heat beyond initial germination you will get straggly weak growth. Oh and you don't actually need to soak your sweet peas, although it's a habit I can't break!
Tomatoes/peppers/chillies – Unless you have a heated greenhouse/conservatory I would not sow for a couple of months. The weak straggly growth issue again.
Use your heated propagator to germinate and when they develop their first "true" leaves (rather than their seed leaves) take them out.
Other questions you’ve raised…
Sprouts – I sow mine early April in the greenhouse. Sweet corn – I sow mine in April in root trainers. Carrots & phosphate – That’s anew one to me! What’s a Jiffy? – A little degradable growing bag in which a single seed is placed. You don’t need to use them. Successional sowings – Peas and carrots definitely. I do some every (growing) month.
Of course others may do things differently!

Sunday 28th January. I've decided to take all your advice and not sow anything yet. So my propagator is switched off and all the seeds are still in their packets. I'm going to be out of the country at the end of Feb so will start sowing probably 1st week of March.
