Oh we are all going senile it's just some people do it faster than others. As for the aches and pains - I thought they were normal!!! Blame it on the weather! ;D

Well, my arthritis isn't made any better with the damp weather but thankfully it's not been as painful in recent years. Hopefully I'm growing out of it! Boyf started calling me Mike Baldwin a while back And I forget what I'm saying halfway through saying it. Think that might be cos I've got so much going on in my head and my brain gets distracted. That's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it.

Mmmmm I've got arthritis in my knees following a fairly serious car accident a number of years ago. It's not been too bad recently so hopefully I'm keeping on top of it too, like you.
T tonight - chicken and mushroom pie with roasted spuds and broccoli.

Well after the success of the chicken with yoghurt turned korma type thing last night, I think I'll just do something simple with corn on the cob. Dunno what yet.

I made beefburgers. Felt a bit sick when I was fiddling about with raw egg and beef mince but the cooked product made up for that <rubs tum> And I cooked corn on the cob to go with it mmmmmmm Shame we have no ice cream :-( Asked boyf to get some flour on the way home so I could bake a cake but the local shop didn't have any.
Might bake a cake next week but I'll have to do 2 because I want a chocolate sponge and boyf wants one with jam in it.

We took my MIL out for a meal for her 60th Lobster tails with a sour cream n chive dip for starters. Then 'Poachers' chicken (chicken breast wrapped in bacon then coated with mature cheddar in a hickory BBQ sauce) with new potatoes (with butter ) and assorted steamed veg. Everyone else had dessert ... fat pigs ;D The best bit was the round of free drinks from the Landlord for some advertising on a website ;D ;D

BTW I think BusyBee's fishpie sounds lush. I might surprise my wife next week if BB sends me the recipe (hint hint) WB Well......I'm not the chef in our house and when I asked the OH he said Tell him to buy my recipe book when I publish it After I'd given him a good he gave in ;D You can use any fish you like, smoked gives a better flavour and its nice to use several different fish too, salmon with smoked haddock/smoked cod loin.........You can also do this with a flaky pastry top rather than mash. Ingredients Milk Butter Cornflour or plain flour Grated Cheese for sauce and top of pie Gound Nutmeg for cheese sauce Small Cooking Onion chopped 2 hard boiled eggs chopped Fish Creamy mash Fresh bread crumbs Seasoning Warm the milk in a pan with knob of butter, seasoning and chopped onion, add fish and bring to a gentle boil then simmer for 7-8 mins. Remove fish and leave to cool. Strain the milk used to cook fish and save it. Flake fish in a casserole dish look out for bones, add chopped eggs. Make cheese sauce with saved milk, needs to be fairly thick, pour over fish and egg. Top with creamy mash with a little grated cheese and pepper on top. Grind up some bread crumbs and fry on low heat in olive oil until golden and sprinkle on top of pie, place in the oven 150 for 15 mins or so to warm it all through. Grill the top if needed to get it really crunchy. If you do it and like it WB you can post it on the recipe board

(the diet is on hold until the new year ) The taters were AMAZING and Mother would've been proud of the yorkshire pudding. Belgian chocolate sponge & custard for afters...but I only had a small helping Now having to move very carefully unless I explode a la Mr Creosote....

I had a disgusting tea! My OH is a very fussy vegetarian so, being sick of the usual stuff, I had a go at homemade veggie sausage rolls using a mix. BLEAH! Oh well, at least the leeks out of the garden were lovely......I'm SOOOO jealous of the roast beef. Poor me......

I've got some pork loin chops (no bones) and i will fry them for a minute on both sides in olive oil, garlic and ginger then put them in the wok, add a tin of coconut milk, some chilli, a little lime juice, and some double cream later on. Peppers, shallots and mange tout will be cooked in the coconut milk and it will reduce until a nice, thick, creamy sauce is acheived.
Served with honey roasted new potatoes

Andy - I didn't say that I'll be having a huge G&T when I eventually get home!! Absolutely BRILLIANT result yesterday, I'm still a little hoarse, so far I've been congratulated (on the teams performance) by 2 Liverpool fans and 1 Leeds Utd (although that doesn't really count)!! Also can't believe how little Mervyn Day has changed except for being greyer!! <I'm forever blowing bubbles smiley> BB, It wasn't from a machine but it was fairly awful!! The coffee is from a machine - hence the need for Gin, only another hour to go!!!

Gardenhammerette - VERY good result! Teehee. Loved West Ham when I was a kid. OH avid Liverpool supporter. My OH won't eat meat, fish, rice dishes, celery, mashed spuds, pastry, brown bread, chinese takeaways......basically he likes pasta and pizza............
