Gardenhammerette - VERY good result! Teehee. Loved West Ham when I was a kid. OH avid Liverpool supporter. My OH won't eat meat, fish, rice dishes, celery, mashed spuds, pastry, brown bread, chinese takeaways......basically he likes pasta and pizza............ 4P There's no reason why you still can't love West Ham now!!! Especially when they beat Man Utd!!! I was also at work yesterday - and missed the party It was a very busy shift and I didn't get a meal break - however it was only a tuna mayo sandwich so hardly that exciting!! I did make up for it by eating some chocolates which our student nurse had brought us on her last day and I've just had a bacon sandwich with HP sauce.... ...As for Tea tonight, I haven't even thought about it!!!

I baked a cake!!!!
Managed to burn my arm in the process but the cake seems ok.... cooling at the minute so we'll see what it's like later when the official tasting happens. Trying to get the icing to stay on top of the cake at the moment. Given up for 5 mins in sheer frustration lol
Then for tea I'm cooking steak with chips etc and pepper sauce cos mum and dad are coming down for dinner again.

Ooo well done on the cake Aprilaydee - what sort was it? Not so well done on the burnt arm though. Hope it isn't too bad. I was going to do a fancy chicken dish with red rice, pine kernels and stuff, but OH fancies pizza! Saves me from cooking I guess!!

Chocolate cake of course <GGGG> it's only a little line of a burn, cake tin slipped as I was getting it out of the oven and the edge landed on my arm. Even though I put it straight under cold water for a while it's still come up with a line on my arm. Looks like a knife scar hope no one thinks I've been abusing myself.... Just goes to show, I shouldn't be allowed near anything sharp, pointy or hot! I always end up hurting myself somehow when I'm cookin.

Eeek and ouch - with a Mmmmmmm yummy thrown in for good measure! I used to be like that Aprilaydee, which when working in a catering kitchen isn't much good. I think (fingers crossed) that I've grown out of it now. I'm sure everyone will love your cake - in fact I want to try it too!!! ;D Enjoy your risotto Trunkyjo - I wish my OH would take me out. I don't think we've been out for an evening meal together, just the two of us, for over a year!!!!!

We were supposed to be going out to lunch with OH today but his office canteen is closed. I'm going to make sarnies for us and take them in and we'll all have a picnic in a meeting room!
I'm not sure what we are doing for tea tonight - OH is winding down for Christmas now and probably has plans!!!

I reckon I could kill a man at 50 paces with my breath alone at the moment. Garlic bread and spag bol. I ate far too much but I was very hungry. All I'd had to eat all day was a slice of the cake I baked ;D

Got a really rich Stew tonight with mash and veggies, OH made it yesterday. Did the Ham joint this morning, roasted it, stripped of the skin then scored it and covered with mustard, brown sugar and cloves. 5 more minutes in the oven then I'll have to have a pick at it. YUM YUM

Aw Sweetie. We had take-out pizza because niether of us could be arsed to cook ;D Going downstairs to make my mince pies now....oooh shortcrust pastry. If I can just manage to make it without actually touching it all will be well...I find that the more actual physical contact I have with any pastry dough..the heavier it becomes... OK chaps.....I'm going in....
