Wasn't sure whether to put this on purple or pink, but the foliage won out over the flowers This should be darker - scabious barocca and I was disappointed my Polish Spirit hadn't any flowers on it - should've looked up x Tig

Little things sometimes give me the greatest pleasure, look what I spotted whilst deadheading some sweetpeas this morning ;D Lots of buds to open and they have formed quite a good sized clump now x Tig

Awww thank you both - I was so pleased as the one I had growing just a few feet away (Purple Haze) keeled over and died when the temps dropped to 5c at night last month. I thought they were all going to wither and die, but although two more are still OK I think this is the only one that will have any flowers At least I've raised them all from quite small plants this year (and costing no more than £2.50p each - so not a major financial loss if they don't perform ) x Tig

That's lovely, Tig! Do you know, there was a Passiflora plant in this garden when we came - and it's never produced a bud, let alone a flower! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif Anyway - a few pics from me. One of the best-performing plants I grow. Aster s frikartii 'Monch'. Geranium pratense 'Plenum Violaceum' Verbena rigida. This should be hardy in my garden, and is in a mild winter. In colder ones, it dies right back, but pops up further along. It may be a seedling, or a new shoot - no idea. I've posted this as it's another form of V. rigida - called 'Violet'. When they're next to each other, they are a slightly different colour.

Thanks for the noms for the passion flower ... I've got another purple one in bud now Love that double geranium Geranium. I had some ageratum seeds and forgot to sow them this year, that is a wonderful result PJ I've got flowers on the tricyrtis hirta I bought a bit back, it is a different variety to the other one I have, the flowers grow in clusters from the leaf axils rather than on a stem - pretty, if a little bit dainty for me x Tig

This is another of the baby Streptos I grew from leaf cuttings. I think she's a little beauty - her name is 'Merle'. I don't think I posted a photo of my Phlox 'Johann Strauss' en masse - so here they are. Lilac, rather than purple, though. I wonder if you've come across this plant before? It's just coming into bloom - Strobilanthes wallichii. It's definitely purple!

Thanks LG. I bought it because I liked the name and the ciolour so I really want it to last. I'll bring it in the house when it starts getting colder, but I don't seem very lucky with plants in pots.
