It would appear that the greenfinch and the goldfinches have decided that my garden is OK and a turning up quite regular to feed.
They are a little camera shy at the moment, but I will persevere

This turned up for breakfast this morning... have seen them (it?) flitting about, but not on the feeder before - Gt. Spotted Woodpecker. OM.

WOW! That's amazing! I've never seen a woodpecker (unless you count a plastic one which I thought was real ) but mum and dad have them feeding on their "red hot pokers". I hear them though!!

now you don't get many chaffinches getting a look-in when one of these discovers the feeder and the little table below... Its curious shape is due to the contortion it's making trying to keep its balance while leaving room to peck. It was swaying backwards and forwards like a badly trained circus act...
