Nooooooo, using dye to give plants colour is sooooo wrong in my eyes, they are all beautiful in their natural state, why must people meddle with them? Like those awful garish dyed heathers! Nice to have a new GC nearby though RF - or is it quite a long drive? x Tig I saw some orange heathers, plus some blue sparkly ones....awful things!! Not so near - well 17km's - I could do it there and back on the bike if I was really desperate - couldn't buy much - well only what my 2 baskets could hold....might be able to get a couple of carrier bags on the handles as well!! You behaved very well Rf, not to buy even more. I guess at this time of year for you everything is going to sleep for the winter. I'm not a fan of dyed plants, I agree with Tig, let them have their natural colour. Inter breeding/hybrids aside of course. Yes, everything is going to sleep here....it is nice to see a bit of colour in the GC's... RF

I'd prefer them their real colour but I guess if you wanted a colour coordinated blue room then that would be your plant!

I dont like to see dyed plants either - have to admit that one year I bought a pink sparkly Christmas Tree that had been dyed - never again

Coryadalis Chuckles i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif , I only know because I've got one this year, any tips for keeping it going much appreciated i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif . There's a bit of a debate on the things you wish you never planted thread about Forget me nots, but honestly how can you resist. I've also got the perennial version (Brunaria) this self seeds almost as well as the normal one. And here's some bluebells for luck, I could wish that the previous owners hadn't planted these, although they do look lovely this time of year, just a pity that they bully everything else I try to plant near them. Pretty blues Jilly. I've got forget-me-nots popping up all over but they're easy enough to pull up. The same can't be said for the Spanish bluebells some of which escape me every year!

Coryadalis Chuckles , I only know because I've got one this year, any tips for keeping it going much appreciated . Thats it Jilly, thanks Well mine is in 2 pots and I find they do better in dappled shade and a good bit of grit in the compo, they look like they totally vanish over winter but alway come back. However, next door to me have the yellow variety growing on a rockery bank which gets full sun most of the day.

Despite loosing a spike to the S&S earlier, I did get one spike on my Delphinium in the bed, & the side shoots where I lost the main spike are getting bigger too. Jillyx

I have another Veronica - V. 'Trehane' - a dwarf one with golden foliage. I really like this plant. And the first of my new dwarf Hebes is in flower. It's called 'Garden Beauty Blue'.
