Clematis Cartmanii Joe And if this is the evergreen one, I think I have it too and it is dripping in flowers even though it's only about 2ft high at the mo! A real hardworking plant!!

It's a great plant isn't it Amo? I've got ours growing up a very boring conifer and the flowers stand out beautifully. As you say it is dripping with flowers

It's probably "Elizabeth" Jardack - it's one of the most popular and readily available montanas. There are loads though!

Lily of the Valley is all in bloom under the Acers Och, I can smell it from here ;D I always want to pick some and bring them in the house Wee, but I was told it is best left in the garden I used to have loads in the garden years ago but because of space I got rid of them - well I am still getting rid of them actually. However I love them and the scent and I always have them in the house if I can find some. A little word of warning though. One year a neighbour, who has since died, gave me a huge bunch from her garden which I divided and put half in the Lounge and half in the kitchen. She also put an equally huge bunch in her lounge and an hour later I got a phone call with her gasping for breath and telling me to help her. I ran down the road and she was in a mess. When I asked her what happened, all she said was that she had been asleep in the lounge and woke up with a thick head and feeling lousy and unable to breathe properly. I went into the lounge where she said the phone was....dear God the intensity of the smell coming from the Lily of the Valley was something I will never forget. I suddenly realised what was wrong and started opening windows etc. She had put this enormous bunch of them on the coffee table and was breathing in the scent all the time with the door shut. She never picked them again, which was a shame as she loved them and she only needed to have put a few in a vase, and not have a bucketful of them. RF

That's beautiful Supa - mine's not in flower yet, but should be soon. I too love Lily of the Valley and have fond memories of taking handfulls of flowers into school when asked for flowers. So many of the other kids took bought flowers, and the smell of mine overpowered them all! I'm trying to grow mine in a container but so far haven't had much success. I don't want them taking over the garden though.

And this one is Guernsey Cream: Beautiful pics Plocket and a from me for this one. It just sings to me!! I quite agree! I hope all the clems I've planted this year end up as floriferous! My first ever Zantedeschia came out last week but it's all distorted and a bit nipped I think it might have been frosted some while back. I'm sure there will be many more!!
