I was going to watch the programme on BBC1 about The Beatles, until that is, I realised that it also involved the Cirque de Soleil, which was not at all what I was expecting. As a consolation, I am now listening to The Beatles Help album. ;D

My daughters words. Her class did a project on the Beatles last year. And I wish she'd go to bed ;D

oooh...Pete Seeger...when I was a girl I was in a folk group with my history teacher and the school technician! we were called 'sanctuary' and were probably rubbish! (the other two were v good...I was just there as the token female!) BUT I remember learning to play the guitar using Pete Seeger books! halcyon days

CPB, I am a big Pete Seeger fan from a long time ago. Saw him live loads of times.
Eldest grandson likes him as well - I think it's because his songs are like stories and have a sense of history.

Tsk tsk....it's quite hard being surrounded in my lounge when celebs keep peering over my shoulder. George Michael wants to know when I'll be playing Last Christmas.... Martin Fry of ABC has diplomatically intervened with That was then this is now! Boy George will definitely NOT be coming again - HE's been nibbling my nuts all evening!
Grief! Bono's just shouted at everyone to shut up! Apparently he wants it quiet on New Year's Day......<Oooooowhatanegosmiley>
.....Oh the stress...... who's on next? That'll be lovely but very charming Axel Rose! ....No guesses predictably....Sweet Child Of Mine!

Just back from the family New Year party, and following what has become something of a tradition, in playing Happy New Year by Abba, from their excellent Super Trouper album.
Currently listening to "On and On and On". ;D

It could be the track slipping Spruance - mine does that sometimes. Ha-Ha-Ha Sleepy. ;D Actually I used to put the LP on, but one of the tracks - can't remember which one now - started jumping, so I tend to play the CD now. It's just amazing to think that I've played this album at this time of day, every New Year's Day for 28 years! <poor old thing smiley> In some ways it is a little sad because it reminds me of my late Grandma who passed away in 1993, and with whom we always saw in the New Year.

I never think about listening to music on the PC, guess because I have a laptop I watch tv and chat to the OH at the same time. Just had an idea it did hurt. If I got some headphones for my PC...........I could play on here, watch tv, listen to music and I wouldn't have to make polite conversation with the OH What a fab idea ;D
