Idea!!

I really like that idea 4P but I already have masses of pots and I don't have wall space to put the theatre against. I don't even have room for a mini patio greenhouse 4P!!! I partly went for the planter/trough idea so she can reach it, so she can see it from the house, and because it would fit into the fairly unused bit of patio we have. I'll keep thinking though, and do keep your ideas coming.

Dad's tend to collect random bits of wood though Plocket. I think it was Lee Evans who said "you know when you're turning into your Dad-when you set aside a piece of wood specifically for stirring paint with". Might've been Peter Kay though...

Yep that's my dad - he has more than your average "dad's" collection of wood though - he's managed to fill half a small garage with off cuts, old doors, panels.... - I kid you not!

Just been reading the Hanging Basket thread and started to wonder (I sometimes think the men in white coats ought to come and get me) ;D ;D When your Dad makes LP's bed, if he could make a top like a 4 poster bed affair you could hang a few baskets from it.

That's a fantastic idea BB but I'm not sure how she'd reach them!!! And I don't want too much to block the view of the garden from the patio doors. We've got hanging baskets in the front garden were I'm going to have the Tumbling Tom tomatoes but I love the way you think.

Unfortunately I think the punkins are going to have to go in the front garden because there isn't enough sun where her trough is going to go. Unless I get dad to build a second one for the front garden...............

Glad you like the four poster idea, got carried away and forgot she's only young I'll cancel the men in white coats ;D A second one sounds a dandy idea though P, while he's doing one he may as well being two ;D

Hehehe! If he were really clever he could make a triangular one to fit between the cars on the drive. I think he'll string me up before I get much beyond that suggestion!!!!! ;D
