Oh dear. My mum has arrived, armed with a musical, hip wriggling santa, a present from my uncle to the children. It's singing jingle bells. What do I do? I do tasteful tat, not tat tat!

Ooh, good idea ;D I might try and deny the baby her dummy, so she is very grumpy and in a throw around mood and give it to her!

Arghh I have seen one A huge Christmas tree, fully lit, on the roundabout going into Knutsford It felt all wrong somehow Went to Woodford Park Garden centre last week and Santa was there with his two reindeer - very small didnt look like reindeer to me I ran over their water bucket in my car that someone had left in the middle of the car park I went inside and was horrified by what seems to be 100% mark up on everything Leylandi trees were priced at £29.95 each and I bought 8 the other week at £7.50 each A black tree fully lit was £129 I bought a small winter jasmine at £9.50 which I didnt think was too bad as I couldnt leave without buying anything - it was after all a Garden Centre

I think that your tree looks lovely Isabella. I myself am OBSESSED with red-glass-balls. I have an artificial tree, I love real ones but they don't like my central heating...and I have almost 400 red glass balls of various sizes. I allowed the odd red and gold ball on as well last year but drew the line at owt else...apart from the red-berry lights (they flash you know). The only other decorations we have are a few santa teddies and fairies that sit on the book shelves, and around the plants in the conservatory....sigh....
I usually have a festive flower arrangement in the hall as well...
