Easy question for you Andy ;D I must confess Rita that i couldn't really recongnise it by the small picture. I thought it might be either an arrowhead or plantain so i came up with a plan Thinking back to Rita's pond plant question in the onds section, i thought she must have a picture of it in there.....and you did.

Are these eggs from a friend of foe?

Post by sleepysunday on Jan 11, 2007 11:29:10 GMT
Hard to tell Rita. There is nothing to give an indication of scale. And the colour might not be true. It would help if you mentioned where they are situated too. Greenhouse soil, pot, under a tree... To be honest they look like figs to me. If they are figs they are a friend ________ Rat's... it's the Quiz thread again!!! I must start reading the thread titles!

I'm hesitant to say this but I think you all know by now that I'm not qualified to call myself a gardener yet, but, they look like puffball mushrooms to me but that can't be right as mushrooms are not eggs.

Well if that's a pinhead it must be something of a reasonable size. Is it something like a hornet? Or a stag beetle?
