A blog? Blimey, that sounds a bit of a challenge for a techno numpty....actually that'd be fun and would keep me on my toes wouldn't it? All you gardeners watching.......sadly I expect there are several hundred rules and H&S problems to overcome before I would be able to. You can't do anything at schools these days without several sheets of bureaucracy and lots of permissions from relevant bodies...... I do want to keep a record and take a few pictures just in case my GW friends (or Monty.....ooo!)are interested......dream on! Actually I do intend to keep a diary and photographic record as I want the kids to write about what they're doing and hopefully we'll have a good project for the winter months then.

Congratumulations!
I can see why you're feeling guilty because I know I'd feel the same but at the end of the day, besides it getting dark, YOU wrote the letter, YOU won the vouchers, YOU deserve to spend them as a reward for all your hard work and out of pocket expenses. Enjoy :-)

HI 4P
First of all congratulations - I think your letter was well thought out and I am pleased that you were awarded "Star Letter".
If you are afraid of a Blog, although I am sure that people here would help you, perhaps you could start a Diary in Gardens/Allotments as others have also done.
I must admit I am looking forward to reading whatever you decide to do.

Hello 4p, congratulations on your letter and your prize . I know you have already come to a decision about whether to donate the prize or keep it but I just wondered if anyone from the school actually knew you had written and one some vouchers anyway?? BTW, I too think the prize is yours and yours alone. My Son attends gardening club at his school and he loves it. Those parent run clubs wouldn't be possible without people like you. Having heard about your various ups and downs from postings on this board I have come to believe that you are one of lifes little angels

Congratulations 4P! ... this is definitely one time I'm going into town to get GW! Incidentally, you're probably up to your eyes anyway, but a blog is a great idea and really easy to do even for a techno numpty (I can barely work the video recorder but have managed a blog) ... cheers ...

Thank you all once again....TJ - I had to laugh at you calling me an angel! At school a teacher used to say I looked like a Botticelli angel, which I thought was a compliment until I actually looked at a Botticelli painting - um, the angels are those fat little chubby things floating about in the background with fat little cheeks and a fairly evil glint in their eye....... ;D I wonder if I could do a blog...I might have to investigate.....CC where's your blog address then?

Well done 4P, you are a star! Congratulation for your prize and for your wonderful work. You are a hard working, generous and ambitious lady. I am sure that what you are doing with your gardening club will be a great success. As a member of the rose society and with the help of an enthusiastic teacher, we started, some years ago, to plant some roses in a school garden. We wanted to get the pupil interested in how to grow roses. We have had pruning demonstrations, expositions, films projections , at competions they presented there work and even won some prizes, but its not easy, only some of them are interested. Your project looks ambitious and I wish you good luck. You surely should have records of your work, I would be pleased to see your achivements.

Hello 4P Only just caught up with this as I am sooooooo busy at work at the mo, just popped in for a flying visit. Brilliant work, fantastic result, well earned. I hope the Headteacher and their staff appreciate all you're doing as well as the kids and their parents. Don't be too selfless, you deserve a reward for all your hard work so just make sure you enjoy some of the fruits of your labours! You are an

I can't believe that you have worried about your prize ! It has been all your own work the idea and the letter to GW so surely the prize should be all yours. IMO any one who begrudges you it is very selfish and small minded. Get down to the GC and have FUN. well done.

OOOh just found this. Congrats 4P. Sounds like you've found ways of dealing with feelings of guilt for winning but not sharing. Erm you won it by putting so much effort in why should you give it away? Did those people really think they own you? Share a little for the fun OK but as for the rest. Have fun your way. Oh almost forgot ;D
