I have just been on the Internet trying to find a Chrysanthemum that will grow in my clay and not mind being left to its own. I soooooo would like to get me one of those old fashioned fluffy big flowers. I bought some for on a vase today, yummy big flowers. Nothing to take cuttings from though. Any suggestions? The Internet left me dry with just some modern unlikable varieties. Nothing for the garden. There must be one out there. Dutchy Pity about the orchid, fingers crossed for the next intensive search

Well if epipactis doesn't like you Dee, I don't suppose it will want to know me at all!! But now I want it and couldn't get it, it makes me want it even more, and now I actually need it. I've found another well spoken of supplier online and have tucked one in a shopping cart. I might be very good and wait til pay day next week, and keep my fingers crossed they still have them.......or maybe not When I was googling some of the plants mentioned here, I checked Juliets geranium out. I was led to a chocolate themed website. If you look in here again Plocket, you may see some more plants to add to you 'black collection' . www.chocolateflowerfarm.com/plants2

I suppose you know of Karen Platts book 'Black Magic and Purple Passion'. She's usually at Chelsea but not last year - gorgeous stuff, and some fab plants mentioned in her book. www.karenplatt.co.uk/books/blackmagic/

Hia Dee! Yes I do know of the book but I haven't got it - I guess I should try and get it from the library to see if it's something I NEED!
