I think we are going to have to wait until it flowers for a proper ID - I did buy 2 drumsticks last year 1 white and 1 mauve/purple - but thought I had lost them - I take it they do die back and pop up again come spring. There are 5 of them now - I found another one this morning oooer! LLx

I would have expected the drumsticks to be out by now - mine are! I went to look for my candleabras this morning but I think I've covered them with compost! I'll have another poke around later!

Despite doubts earlier it is starting to look like it could be a primula, I saw a small Geranium yesterday, tiny rounded leaves and sort of furry, when I picked it up there was a crown just aboive the compo that looked very similar and the leaves came from the crown. I stupidly didn't write the name down and had forgot it by the time I got home

I bought a Primula Denticulata today & guess what, it looks just like your photo. In fact as soon as I saw it I told my friend about your picture & said I might be able to solve the mystery. Sorry I can't take a picture of mine. We haven't worked how to post them yet. GJ

I'll try and take a photo tomorrow Chuckles - the flower heads are forming now but they were still tucked in at the bottom of the plant last time I looked.
