This is a question from the Clematis experts among us - I imagine Plocket can help ;D
Where are the best internet Clematis specialists that have net-trading facilities and will mail order?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi tc I am a bit biased as I managed a very sneaky visit to the Guernsey Clematis Nursery last year. www.guernsey-clematis.com/home.aspThey don't sell direct but do give details of retailers, mail order and GC's which stock their plants. Happy hunting

Are you looking at any particular clem? I would think that Plocket would also agree that one of the better specialists (and there a few) is Sheila Chipmunk (as she's referred to in this house)........ www.sheilachapman.co.uk/

Hia TC - sorry but I missed this! As the good Captain says, my first choice would be Sheila Chapman, but I think the site is www.sheilachapman.com The postage isn't cheap but when you consider what is being posted it's worthwhile - I've never had a problem with her plants either being damaged in the post or being poor specimens. For the more well known clematis T&M are pretty good too. What do you intend to buy then TC? ;D

It's a lovely list TC. You should be able to get those three from Sheila Chapman. Let us know how you get on!

Shame about Emelia but at least you got something else instead! I can see a GLORIOUS armandii from our spare room window - it's covered in blooms at the moment and makes me yearn for one. I just haven't the space though
