to bloom - so which is it in your garden.??
I am a little behind but Mary Rose or a yellow rose called Bayerisches Gelb will probably be the first roses to bloom in my garden.
How's about a few photo's?

I've got one in the front garden in bloom.
Just a miniature peachy salmon coloured one I got from work last year.

My money was on Abraham Derby too, but over the last week the other roses have caught up dramatically. So now it's between Abraham Derby, Gertrude Jekyll and the crimson flowered rose in the centre of the lawn that I lost the label for. Photos to follow as and when...

Hi Grannyjanny.....treated myself to Rhapsody in Blue last year.....i spotted it in a garden centre and just had to have it....the flowers were beautiful and scented. It really is a stunning Rose. I would recommend to anyone. Here's a pic.... photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4456/3468/1600/Raft%20Race%20053.3.jpgIt looks pink but it's the most stunning purpley blue colour i have ever seen.

Thanks ZW. I will get one. Have you seen black baccara. That is a beauty. Two of my daughters had it in their wedding bouquets & I have been trying to get it for one of them. Janet.

My Rhapsody has just started to form flower heads....i can't wait to see it in bloom again. It's a really nice shaped bush too. Even the leaves are pretty. Unfortunately my camera just won't capture the colour true so here's one i googled which shows the colour Rhapsody in Blue. Grannyjanny you can get Black Baccara from this link. I've seen a bouquet with these in and they are stunning....that beautiful pinky black is just so irridescent. Found this pic Bouquet again they are difficult to catch that light/colour combo.

Thanks for the link ZW. I will get one for her. I ordered 3 last year from T&M & when they flowered they weren't Black Baccara. G.J. What a shame they weren't what you ordered...i had same prob with T&M ordered Stromboli roses and they weren't red...v pretty but not red. I then ordered more and red ones came! Prob is that you don't know until planted and then in flower. I suppose i could've complained but i liked the ones that came better than the stromboli.

This is one of the rose bushes next to my front door. Been in bloom for a few weeks... That's lovely Aprilaydee....looks like one i've got in a pot...thinking of taking it out of the pot and putting in the ground....it's been in pot for 3 seasons and although i've refreshed with top dressing of fresh compost it's starting to struggle.

I have three Rhap in Blue - has to be one of my fav roses - think got Rose of the Year 2004 The petals are like tissue paper and have a heavenly smell - BUT - they are not roses that can be "cut" for the house as the flowers dont last long Lovely photo of your yellow rose RF - my Arthur Bell should be out soon - what a trouper this rose is - never gets green fly and keeps on flowering right on thru the year jenny
