I have a damp spot against an east facing fence at the bottom of my garden that I want to plant with a climber (ideally a rose). Any suggestions? A David Austin caught my eye, 'Tess of the d'ubervilles'. It says it's ok in shade . Anyone have one?

i have souvenier du dr jamaine growing in shade it has a lovely scent and really dark claret blooms which would fade if it was placed anywhere else, lovely scent too. my lonicera dropmore scarlet is also in shade
