This little clematis has been in situ for some years but until recently has always been buried by a rampant passion flower and climbing rose, both since removed. I really should know the variety since I planted it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is? Any thoughts?....

Off the top of my head I'd say Arctic Queen or Duchess of Edinburgh. It's really difficult to tell the two apart I'm afraid but my book suggests that DofE has sometimes has slightly green looking flowers.

Thanks for that Plocket but neither name sounds familiar! Any other suggestions?

Sylvia Denny? Jackmanii Alba? Pennell's Purity? I'm struggling if it's none of those!!! ;D Er...Err...Errrrr. I've no idea, but thanks for all the suggestions. It's very unusual for me to throw away plant labels, so I will almost certainly have this one.... somewhere! The only question is where! Thanks for your help though Plocket! ;D

I'm afraid you are just going to have to look for it then Spruance! Let me know if and when you find out what it is though - I'd like to know.
