I was looking at these on Crocus Chuckles but was put off when it said they need winter protection.
I hope yours is ok.

Well I think mine may be a gonna  I foolishly didn't protect it this winter. Its not done anything so as far as new growth goes, its just been sat in its pot. I did the scratch test at the weekend and at least 2/3rds of it is dead, below that is green though. I've cut it back and all that is left are three approx 28" stems and a few sad leaves. It is still well rooted in the pot so I'm assuming the roots are ok. Has anyone cut one back as severly and had success. Sorry Chuckles - we left your query on page 1. |

Well it was Andy's fault I bought one ;D I got mine from Crocus Jasmine around £19 when I got mine, they are dearer now though.
I'll just have to wait and see what happens with it, its got 2 chances. For the moment just so as the pot doesn't look like a pot of twigs I've planted some tall cosmos in it.

I'm very tempted to get another Amber www.crocus.co.uk/plants/_/climbers/other-climbers/trachelospermum-jasminoides-/classid.1728/ Mine was from Crocus and was a well established plant about 3-4ft when I first got it. I don't think I can give it the conditions it needs though really. Be good to know how you get on with yours Amber  The Cosmos will need some support Jasmine so the branches will be just the job and at least it will give it a chance to redeem itself, if I'm lucky ;D |
