my neighbour has just given me 2 acers to look after while she's on holidays but they got a bit scorched so they are looking a bit worse for wear.
I said I'd try to perk them up while she's away but I'm not entirely sure where to start because I've never had anything scorched before LOL
Any ideas? I've just fed them while I was feeding my other ericaceous plants but is there anything else I can do?

Keep them out of the sun and wind and water them with rainwater if possible. If they don't get worse, they will perk up next year. Short term it is just giving them the best conditions they need. Do they look potbound? If so maybe a top dress with some ericaseous compost might help, but that is upto you. I had one last year that I brought with me here and it got a little wind scorched, while we were away, but I planted it into the garden in the autumn, looked after it and now it looks great.

Well I've put them somewhere sheltered from both sun and wind now anyway because that's where I personally would have put them had they been mine. Where she had them tends to be a bit of a sun trap in the afternoons so I'm not surprised they got a lil burnt.
The pot seems fine for them at the moment so will just have to see who they go. I've fed them anyway with ericaceous plant food which is more than the neighbour has ever done for them so ya never know!
