When I brought a few sprigs of my Sarcococca in over winter to enjoy some of the blooms I left it in the little jar after the flowers faded. I've been changing the water regularly and now low and behold, one of them has started to put out small strong fat roots. I'm delighted and will pot it up later on today I think and keep going with the other 2. Just a little update on my little cuttings. I took 3 cuttings and now have 3 sturdy little plants which have grown outside all summer in their little pots. I'll keep one and give Ruth and Jenny one each. Success. I'm delighted.

I'm sure Jenny and Ruth will treasure them and be delighted too. Today I was tidying up a few pots of previous year cuttings that I've had tucked away. I was thrilled to come across two rose cuttings one with a beautiful heavily scented red bloom and the other with small peachy coloured flowers, I think they are Pauls Scarlet and Ghislaine Feligonde both climbing roses
