I wasn't sure whether to sow the sweet peas straight outside in a pot but I can't seem to find the pot that I put them in last year so ended up sowing them indoors....

Is there anything quite as wonderful as growing from seed?

I've sown quite a lot this year after having a few years of only growing tomatoes and cucumbers from seed, no flowers aside from French marigolds. So I've gone a bit mad....these are the ones I've sown. I have other stuff but they have a good expiry so they may be used for autumn sowing...or for next year. Or April.....
Chiltern seed
Lysimachia atropurpura 'Beaujolais ' Kirengeshoma palmata Thalictrum aquilegifolium Gaura lindheimeri 'summer breeze' Rudbeckia hirta 'Cherokee Sunset' Zaluzainska capensis 'midnight candy's
Sarah Raven
Antirrhinum'liberty classic crimson' Verbena rigida Scabiosa atropurpurea 'salmon pink's Cosmos bipinnatus : dwarf sensation white, sonata carmine Larkspur 'white king' Cleome spinoza 'violet queen's Calendula officials 'Indian Prince' Gypsophylla elegant 'Covent garden's Salvia farinacea 'victoria'
Just seed: Zinnias dahlia flowered mixed
T&M : Mecenopsis Tagettes starfire mixed
Theres more but I cant remember what...another zinnia...another cosmos...then there are all the vegetables...where I'm going to put them I don't know! I've got quite a lot of germination already, the Sarah Ravrn stuff was sown at the end of February and much of those have germinated already. I only put the chiltern seeds in a week or so ago...

Gaura, lemongrass and pepper seeds have germinated. I think that the kirengeshoma pot looked like it had a bit of white mould growing on it..so I've whisked that pot out and resown a fresh pot with the rest of the seed. I couldn't find any cheshunt compound dagnamit....anybody else use it to prevent damping off?

Thanks for that Tig , I've got loads of cinnamon I've used it quite sparingly. I did some pricking out today, calendula, mimulus, gypsophila and zinnias...still got quite a lot of seedlings that are too small to prick out. Please note sophisticated shading...Bless the Guardian....

Put the seeds to soak in lukewarm water for 12 hours, that way you'll have to sow them or they'll rot!
