Thanks PJ for your nomination! The daffs are appreciated here too as they herald the earliest signs of spring. Oh, and MRH I forgot to mention that when using the term dag we are not referring to sheep dags, but to Fred Dagg who was a great comedian in the 1970s and 80s, so it really is a compliment!

Get your own back Missy, call him a dingleberry! ;D You can go right off some people Night Owl Definition of Dingleberry:
n. Vulgar Slang.
1. A piece of dried faeces caught in the hair around the anus. 2. An incompetent, foolish, or stupid person.

Just had a look on google for Aussie slang.... [glow=red,2,300]Dag : a funny person, nerd, goof [/glow] not sure whether or not to be offended You have to understand that Kiwis are not Aussies and whilst our slang may be similar, it is not the same. The Aussie term for dag is quite different to the Kiwi one. In New Zealand to suggest that a person is a bit of a dag is to suggest that he or she is a person who enjoys a bit of fun and is used as a compliment to a person's sense of humour! ok, ok I'll let you off then.... ;D anymore pics Roan?

It's a lovely day here today, brilliant sunshine with hardly any wind and a temperature of 17C. I will take my camera with me and see if I can find anything nice to take a picture of.

I believe it is because when roses are hybridised they go for good looks and not scent. We have a lovely old fashioned climbing rose that was given to us a by a friend as cuttings. Two took and we now have great showers of deep red flowers and a heady scent to boot! We take the petals and put them in a bowl and the whole house is filled with their scent!
