Ok, I'm converted to the bung 'em outside in a border and forget about them (again) school, but I think for the benefit of those who might want to 'bring them in' for xmas we need a pooled stab at the process that now involves chilling them rather than warming them up:
I'll start.
When you've had the best from your xmas hyacinths, have forgotten them, found them again, planted them outside to revive them and then want to bring them in to make them perform again for xmas, you...

I've always thought that they don't flower so well when planted out in the garden, however from the photos posted they don't look too bad. Well I'm gonna pop all mine in a big plastic pot in some new compo and despatch them to the hidey hole till they sprout again. The hidey hole is the back of the GH ;D Must put a label in or I'll be wondering what they are some time in the future

Leave them in the garden and go and buy some fresh, properly treated ones from the GC ready done for you. ;D

..... mine from 2 years ago - forgotten in the shed all summer, chucked in the first space I could find and are coming back well again - later than Amo's...but we are later here anyway.... worth a try I reckon. RF
