I alternate between the white and the wholemeal when I make it.

Half wholemeal flour, half white. LOL or I could make 2 2lb loaves and then stick them in a 4lb tin...

I do!! I've got 2 2lb ones and a 4lb one. Well, the woman in the shop reckoned it was a 2.5lb one... then again, she did smell of drink. I got twice the amount of dough in there than a 2lb loaf tin so I reckon it's a 4lb. So there.

I have just made my own white bread cakes successfully...
OH loves the type of bread cakes/rolls that we get in the UK (Sheffield area) and we have looked everywhere for years and then finally decided to try ourselves.
I found a small bread mix - and it was also for rolls with times etc etc - so I did it....whey hey - we have just had warm rolls for lunch and luverly they were too...very similar to the English ones that OH so loves!!
