Hmm welllll, T&M plants.......
Mine are red too, I posted them on page six of my thread among other things. They've taken a while to get there and they don't like the wet weather!! Worth it in the end though. I have a larger pot on the G&T hut with several in that looks more impressive.

I had a trip to a couple of local GC's and bought a Heuchera Midnight Rose, 2 Crocosmia Lucifer and some Narcissus Rijnvelds Early (they are supposed to come out in January). Then I came home and ordered some more narcissus off the internet from a company in Wales - Mrs RO Backhouse, Mrs Langtry, Trevithian and Von Sion. OH hasn't noticed the new plants outside so I am not mentioning my shopping spree! ;D

Nothing exciting...just some bubble wrap to make an inside cover for my mini plastic GH.

Have you come up with a way of doing an inside cover MRH? I was wondering if horticultural fleece tucked round the plants on frosty nights would help them survive in a mini greenhouse.

maybe........ But last year I wrapped the bubble wrap around the outside and everytime it got windy I had to keep pegging it back on....so this year I thought that if I could make a cover and put it on the inside than put the GH cover over it then it would stay in place....am going to use sealant to stick it together cos I think that tape will just get damp and peel off...when I finally get round to doing it I will post a piccy (that is if it works)

I know what you mean - I lost a whole piece of bubble wrap on a very windy night last year and it got tangled 20 ft up in our triffid hedge. I did better pegging after that! That's why I was wondering about the fleece inside the greenhouse - just for overnight protection.

I used to leave mine on all the time when it got cold, only opened it to see if they needed watering, usually they didn't though.

Ahh! I only put the bubble wrap round if the weather forecast said it was going to go below minus overnight, otherwise I just closed the zip!

Bargain OB - were they in a sale??

Doncha just lurve the sales?. Most of them were very much reduced in price, but still in good nick. For example 6 different coloured Astilbes for £2.50, each of them capable of being divided again, if I want to. So less than 50p a plant!

I have discovered that our local Wyevales has a corner for reduced plants. (Quite a big corner!) They are all a bit battered and uncared for and some are seasonal so really aren't worth it now but I found a battered little Clematis Belle of Woking and it was £2.99 so I had to buy it to give it a good home and hopefully with a bit of tlc it will be a real find!

Bargains - I lurve bargains ;D I had to undertake a rescue mission this afternoon - I spotted a forlorn looking Dwarf Fan Palm ~ Chamaerops but I had to dash off to get some other things. I made a detour on my way back and gave it a home! I hope it survives

I though I'd found a bargain in Morrisons. passiflora empress eugenie, only £1 75. I have since found that it will need room in the greenhouse over winter. I must remember to do my homework before I buy not after

I've now received the T & M catalogue - I've hidden it from sight - I won't buy anything - but I'm prone to making long lists Anyway as a distraction today I bought a large metal butterfly on a stake, with hinged wings (half price in Homebase plus 10% extra off!) And then just as I was walking past a small grocers shop that sells plants I spotted some ferns, but I resisted temptation Then I spotted some unhappy looking clematis with no labels - I took pity on one and brought it home It was only £1.99 - and I'm hoping when the flower bud opens Plocket will know what it is x Tig

I'm still spending hours browsing through seed sites and Fozzie gave a couple of good ones in the fruit and veg section one of which does flowers as well. I was in town the other day and bought 18 miniature mixed tulips and 35 triteleia. I thought they were a bagain being 99p and 1.99 and 20% off. Poundstretcher or one of those cheap home and garden places. ;D
