While we were at the GC this morning I bought a Penstemon White Bedder and 3 white Argyranthemum. I'm going for a bit of a white theme with some of my pots this summer!

Chris wanted to call at the GC yesterday before we picked up my glasses. I bought a pack of geraniums ?begonias/ 3 million bells and a 4 pack of something I cant remember they didn't have a label on ! but they are perennials brightly coloured large daisies and begins with a G !!! I'm going to look them up, they are lovely , close when the sun goes in and not Gerbera but very like them.

When I was up at my house I had to take a different route to the plot due to translink building a new hub. It took me past the local eurospar that I've not bee into since before the 1st lockdown, I could'nt resist buying a lovely Nemesia Easter Bonnet to replace one that we'd had for years but died over winter and a peachy/orange Diasica.

I resisted, I had a basketful at one time, then common sense and lack of space kicked in, plus I've still got loads to plant out

I'm sure they've been worse this year. Used to be the healthiest plug plants I bought.

5 of the echinacea plugs I got were totally dead on arrival - some had no green whatsoever just mould, and when the heleniums arrived this week 2 of the packs the plugs were folded in half to fit in, and so had broken stems in the middle, I've had to prop them up with little sticks and hope they recover. Even though Hayloft are good on replacing plants it is still a bind to have to report it and wait for new ones, in the hope they will be better!

Tig, Jasmine, they all look very unhappy and I would'nt be surprised if they had a bit of disease soon too.

I got my money back for the whole order including the geum collection which I didn't complain about although they are very small. Good old Hayloft.

I've been a bit bad today!
I bought my ladies at work Lantanas and I got terracotta pots to plant them up in. I bought myself a Gaura - Walbertons snow fountain, supposed to be shorter, less floppy and more floriferous than other gauras and 2 yellow cosmos and then I got home and bought a Dahlia 'Café au Lait' plant and 3 Baptisia australis in the SR sale!

you're a lost cause Jasmine - mind you I'm one to talk. Walking past the GG and he'd reduced trays of summer bedding to 2 for £1 so I had a 6 cell of trailing lobelia and 6 verbena, and two gorgeous osteos that he had for £1 each, erato double copper and erato double rose, I couldn't resist!

Those are lovely bargains Tig Jasmine . Jenny bought 3 unnamed Dahlia from someone who grew them from seed this year. She stopped the car when she saw a sign saying plants for sale, only 1 is in flower and is white, we don't know what colour the other 2 are.

I was after that and Rosa Buttercup Ladygardener but every GC round here has stopped doing David Austen roses and on the site they wanted something like £27 for a potted version so I was glad to get the last Chandos Beauty.

I wonder why the shops have stopped doing DA roses Jasmine. I have seen that due to brexit, they are not delivering to NI or europe. Hope your Chandos beauty does well for you.

I spotted that Ladygardener, that really needs sorting out. I know the GCs won't be paying £27 each for them but they are obviously dearer than your average rose so I suppose it's a lot to lose or have to sell cut price. Anyway, I'm very happy with my Chandos Beauty!
