Yes his twin arrived safely and its a girl, I will take some pics tomorrow. Thanks for the nominations as well guys. I love this time of year even though we dont get much sleep, and tempers do get quite short through lack of it, but I never tire of watching a new born lamb taking its first steps or the love of the mother when she nuzzles the lamb to take a drink it is so beautiful. Well I will go and get my head down for a couple of hours, talk to you all tomorrow morning. Bye for now. Carol.x

Here are a couple of pic's of the twins. Mum and babies are doing fine. Glad we fetched them in to be born as the weather last night was horrid, OH said that there was a couple of inches of very wet snow up there this morning.

Been a bit hectic this weekend what with that rain on Saturday night, got soaked through going round the sheep checking them. Found 2 lambs with no mother/s so had to fetch them in the house and put them in the oven to warm them up a bit, then they stayed in the house all night as we had no pen ready for them Had to do it on foot as everytime they hear the bike they all come running which is not good for them plus they are inclined to leave their new born babies!!!!!!!! It takes an hour to do the walk, I will take some more pics to post for you. Have to go now and feed all the babies. Talk to you all soon. Carol.x

morning all, Amo I had a leg of lamb cooking in the oven and it had to be taken out and the little ones put in. Needless to say we had a chippy tea. But I did finish the leg off later and we had it on Sunday. ;D

Yes we keep 150 of the females back to replace any older or dead ones. We have some good news and some bad news, here is the good I managed to find a mother for the 2 littles ones, the bad news I got 2 more first thing this morning. Been around where OH found them but cant find any that look like they have lambed, never mind will start again with these 2. Good job really as it cost £60 for a bag of lamb milk yesterday so someone will have to drink it, cant see OH having it in his tea ;D

The heavens have opened up here so I have been down in the lambing shed taking some more pics, hope you like them. This one has just been born, its mother had a pro-lapse so she has been inside for about a week. These last 2 are my new kids which I'm feeding. [
