You are welcome Sunny, I keep placing this all year long (though at times I forget or am on hols ) and I know some use it as a reference for what to do just to keep on the path sort of. I have so far not heard from anyone on wether or not it works as a way of growing better veg ;D As a matter of fact my sown lettuce , done at the right time according to this, came up well and was consequently eaten completely by something springy and small. Not sure if that was due to moon planting

Thanks Dutchy.

You are welcome. It arrives per mail and I simply cut and paste so it is not too hard a job to place on here. I use it as a reminder too but admit to not sticking to the moon sowing/planting. If things need to be done they get done moon or no moon

I sowed some Lettuce a few weeks back and when I looked it was the wrong time of the month ;D but I did sow some of the same kind at the right time and all of them have come up so it works for me. I do try and stick to the sowing guide as I get better results.

Wow Carolann you are the first to tell me it does work. I stick to it for reasons of not overdoing myself, taking things at their time, and all. I don't know if things do better or worse. With me failure is mostly down to slugs and bugs. (ormeoverwateringsheadmittedsmiley) I mostly get everything going ( except Cleome ) on the windowsill indoors and this time of year in little plug pots outside. Keeping them safe from s&b being the foremost concern. Nice to know that it does work.

My neighbours and the farmers around me all use the moon calendar, in fact it is a way of life here. I follow the calendar on graines et plantes I do find that seeds planted at the appropriate time come through a lot quicker, than those planted out of the moon phase . My experiments are not scientific, indeed they are extremely amateur. The calendar on graines et plantes varies by a day from the moon calendar on the English site. Thank you Dutchy for your information I find it very useful, it jogs me into action.

Hi Jeanne you are welcome. I get this calendar from an e-mail service I subscribe to. It is indeed an English version. I know a German magazine that has a slightly different version. To be honest I try to stick to it as a sort of "don't over do it and this is the time to take action" but not as something which will help the plants grow. Maybe things are slightly different in the Netherlands too. No farmers with veg around here, just cows and other farm animals so no one uses the planting and sowing by the moon calendar. I just continue posting the moon calendar every Friday as I get the mail.
