You are welcome RF. I just continue this as long as I recieve the info. It is a good question though. If it works for plants or not. I can't say I notice a difference and I believe the ones who do see it are also feeding their plants much better than me and giving a plant a head start with good food and some extra tender care does wonders the moon probably can't beat. However it does help to have the calendar as a way of doing only piecemeal bits so one does not get knotted up with work. Keeping the gardener fit does wonders for the garden

There is no proof of effect as those who do get good crop tend to do more about their plants anyhow. ;D But as RF says it helps to make the bits that need to be done chopped up in smaller parts so you feel you are on "top" Anyhow here is some more. 09/09/2011Waxing gibbous Moon Phase: Waxing gibbous * Moon in Capricorn: This is a Earth sign. Jas it is always one thing plus one thing minus and one thing not mentioned. So far I have always sown or planted if something was plus or not mentioned at all. As in when it isn't good but also not bad If I want to I risk it anyhow. Water sign days therefore can be used for planting root plants. But if you have time on your hands leave it be a while. There are more than just this way of moonplanting and this is a weekly installment so new info coming Friday or Saturday. I suppose you can have a look on the web for other ways of moon planting. There are three ways as far as I know. www.thegardenerscalendar.com/Moon_Planting.aspThis is the site that explains most clearly about all three ways and gives you the weekly calendar I post on here. Good luck with your onions.

They'll be in a south facing raised bed. I'm not a cynic - I think there's far more out there that we have no understanding of at all so all things are worth a try.

True besides what is the point of cynism if this does help with the resolve to do something or take it easy, it has already done half it's job as far as I am concerned.
( I firmly believe cynicism is the easy way out when you don't understand/believe what people are on about and I am not that lazy ;D )
