Oo-er, could they be looking to nest Carol? When we were doing up our barn, we had two pairs nesting in the old beams. The builders, lovely fellows, worked around them The following year, the swallows returned but sadly we'd had the doors installed and they couldn't get in.

Maybe they don't want to get out Carolann! It's the time of year for swallows and martins and swifts to nest - my neighbour's have returned for the umteenth year running.

Oh Carol you are lucky! Not just to have them but to get pics like that. We do see swallows around but I do look back with nostalgia to the days when the House Martins colonised our row of houses making loads of noise and mess!! Alas they come no more. Sign of the times I s'pose (I prefer to think they've found a MUCH better place and go there instead).

When I went to feed the lambs last night they where still in there so they may want to make a nest in there as its pretty cool as it has a very thick slate roof, trouble is where they may be planning a nest. The gable end and part of the roof will be coming down soon to be rebuilt as its falling down. Wish they would pick a spot further up the shed so they will be safe. I will keep you all informed as to what happens with them. We have got House Martins Supa and yet again they have nested on our Daughters bedroom window, I will try and get some pics. This morning at 4.30 a cheeky Magpie landed on our bedroom window sill and started to chatter away and look in the bedroom, they are sooooo noisy

Well my 2 little friends are still in the shed but as of yet I cant find a nest anywhere, I try and not upset them when I am walking up and down, they seem to have moved to the back end of the shed which is great as the contractors who are doing the gable end have been to have a look this morning. Hope they havnt got a nest as I'm sure they will leave it once the work starts, funny cause in one of the other sheds they dont seem to mind the smell of Tractor fumes or the noise of it at all, maybe these are last years young ones and its their first time nesting so they where looking for somewhere quiet.

They're spunky little things Carol. We had all sorts of building works going on a couple of years ago and they still chose to nest in the beams. Seemed completely unconcerned by all that was going on.

No sign of them this morning but I know they are making nests in the other sheds and even the stables so I will keep the Camera handy. Here are some shots of the 2 House Martin nests on daughters bedroom window. as you can see they make a right old mess on the windows. This one is a work in progress. Up to yet they have ignored the RSPB one,
