Just realized i havent fed any of my shrubs this year so i have to get some food for them tomorrow. Would chicken manure be ok or should i get some thing else. maybe blood fish and bone ? Cheers

I'd buy and use that, but I worry that they get the manure from battery chicken farms. So I use Blood Fish And Bone................which probably comes from somewhere awful too. Think I might stick to Growmore. ;D

I was just wondering about fertiliser and found my old post from 11 yrs ago. :-) doesn’t time fly :-) Think I will get some growmore tomorrow

Aldi had big buckets of chicken manure for £5.99, seemed like a good price although I don't use it anymore as the dogs snuffle it out and eat it!

I try to just use compost. I weedle and whine until OH takes out the slats on the big compost bin and we can get to the lovely black goodness...then I use it to mulch the beds. I do use blood, fish and bone sometimes.
