It must be the angle of the pic Jenny, although it's a mans bike, I've actually got a laydee's saddle ;D. Hopefully, you can now stop worrying about my bits ;D Cycled 12 miles off road today ................ blinking fantastic and, FA, before you ask, the buttocks are coming along just fine S x

Oh am so glad was worried ;D I used to have, as well, a road bike (used to be called racing bikes) that had a man's saddle - so speaking from experience My current bike is a man's bike too - they are more sturdy as they have the cross bar which adds I think a bit more stability

That's an excellent idea Babyswan. Although we've had SOME proper cycle paths here, half the time the council thinks that narrowing the road and putting a few white lines down either side is more than adequate S

Holland has "it" - they have an infra structure of bike lanes - bike rules OK over there - mostly the cars dont try to run you down

I and my O.H. have folding Raleigh Broadwalks I dont know if you would class the as proper bikes ;D they fold up and go in bags, we carry them on the back of our motorhome they are handy for getting about we dont tend to go far maybe 5 miles on a good day I have a basket on the front for my little dog but the little b@gger has had me off twice! he has a harness and is tied to the side he sits like Monty; front paws on the front then all of a sudden decides to jump down he ends up swinging I pull on brakes and go @rse over T.. off O.H. refused to take bikes last year when we went over to Germany and France he said he didnt want to visit A&E with me there!! I hope he has settled down next time as he isnt a puppy now and Im getting him done next week (that.ll settle him) I hope.

Ha, me too!!!
I've had OH and doggie on the bike at the same time. A bit of that plastic pipe insulation on the cross bar for oh's tender bits, dog in basket and away we go!!! We get a few looks, but it's quicker on short journeys!

With both my dogs I have used my bike. My dwarf teckel sat in a basket in the front and my German Shepherd ran along side. I learnt very early not to put the lead over the handle bars as when he wanted to stop for any reason he gave no warning and I was arse over tip each time. The great thing with him was that if I got tired he just used to pull me along.....
