The smell of whiskey only bothers me for the first pint ;D That was on the BBC news channel this morning Phil, with the CEO taking the 5th Amendment route at a Congressional hearing. Personally as a life long non-smoker I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke. So recent legislation has helped on that front. Apart from that it has to be fish, raw or cooking. I used to like fish but think I went off it in my teens when at times it would be the easy mealtime option on an almost daily basis. Too much of a good thing etc. Now I think I would be ill if I had to eat fish.

I can't bear the smell of stagnant water - it makes me want to heave. And I loathe the smell of whisky. I can't think of anything else at the moment!

Wine gums makes me feel sick but it's only cos I associate it with Dad eating them while driving and his driving making me car sick.
And I've never tried pear drops but I do like the smell... Having done A Level Chemistry and messed about with ketones etc though I could never eat a pear drop.

Soft ripe Brie and other ripe cheeses, love the taste but really don't like the smell every time I open the fridge door. Now keep them in a tupperware container.

A few years ago, the waterfall slowed down considderably at work. This waterfall runs from the pond up to the top of the garden and then comes back via a series of pools and streams.
The inlet pipe is 6" and situated by the Island of the pond. It has a mesh cage on it to stop stuff being sucked into...the who system is a serious piece of kit.
I donned my waders and went to investigate. It was a very hot day and the waterfall hadn't been working for about 4 days.
Now ive had my hands in ponds, rivers and streams since i could walk but nothing....and i mean nothing could prepare me for the stench of a 15" long rotten carp that had somehow got stuck up there....and been there in water that was approx 80 degrees F for 4 days.
It was a smell that will stay with me till my dying day....unfortuneatly !!!!

The smell of anything dead is pretty grim. I remember once our old black lab Polly rolled on a dead rabbit that had been laying in the sun for a day or 2 while we were at the coast. The smell of a wet dog covered in rotten dead rabbit stench for an hour in the car on the way home was truly horrendous. Suffice it to say we drove all the way home with the windows and the sun roof wide open ;D
