I read an article in the paper yesterday that said that the two men involved in the killing of Baby P could be given new identities when they come out of prison. Why? so the b******* can go somewhere else and do the same thing again.

A friend and I were talking about this today and we said the very same thing . The world has gone mad - why would anyone want them living 'new' lives anywhere near them?

This country has gone completely barking mad when it comes to law, order and justice. I can't watch the reality police programmes anymore, I get so frustrated when at the end the narrator summarises the penalties that the miscreants have been given .. community service, 18 months suspended sentence, £50 fine, no further action was taken - it makes me seeth What about the people who are the victims in so many of these cases, it is the same when someone gets prosecuted for defending themselves, family or their property and ends up in a police cell or in court. Ordinary people don't seem to have any rights anymore, only criminals and hooligans it seems .. Oooh look what you made me do Beanie - on me soapbox again

The real nasty taste is that it will cost you and I to give them new lives. Not that I condone it but natural justice may prevail although I doubt it, cos they will spend their pitifully short period of "punishment" in solitary.
