The grid below contains the surnames of persons associated with gardening, past and present, always in a straight line, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Find as many of them as you can (hint; there are more than 20!), but when you submit your answers via PM to the (Main) Admin account you must include the gardeners first name alongside the surname. Only surnames that are four letters or longer will be accepted, usual GWD competition rules apply, ie the first correct entry received will be deemed to be the winner, and the second will be awarded runner up. The date and time of the PMs received will determine who is awarded the prizes if there is a draw for the number of gardeners surnames found in the grid. Closing date for entries is midnight UK time, Tuesday 22nd December 2009. The winners will be announced on Christmas Eve.

Good thing Spru can run fast Barbara. Hey PJ feeling any better yet? May I suggest Sage tablets they seem to work in both cleaning and softening the throat. Had a bit of that myself and it worked. Taste is not something to write home about though Spotted 5 names without too much trouble but twenty? Not in a zillion years I think. I had better print it out so I can circle things.

Thanks for the tip Dutchy - I've not heard of Sage tablets for sore throats. Will try and find some in health food shop. I have been drinking Lemsip with a generous helping of Whiskey and that works quite well.
