I've been a member of this board since the early days and I've seen a few people come and go, as always happens with messageboards. There are a few folk who've fallen by the wayside who I'd like to say hello to but I have no other way of getting in touch with most of them so I'd just like to say hello and a Happy New Year to the following people (some of whom are no longer members and some of whom are still members but who haven't been in or posted for ages), just in case they do ever come in for a lurk ;D It would be nice if you said hello now and again, just so's we know you're ok  Susie Snowdrop Plocket Lottie Lady Skarloey Gardenhammerette Welshblue Aprilaydee Nightowl Shrubrose Trunkyjo Ziggywigs Christiebhoy Karenwl Jonah Sara Captain Cabbage Lord Steve PA Margi Greenwizard (I miss your photo's !) I think about Plocket every time I log on - I hope she gets in touch with us at some point I met up with Annaleise when I visited Belgium a few years ago and I think she now posts on the Beeb Board  I miss hearing about April's animals and looking at Shrubby's lovely garden I could go on but hope F-A's thread will bring some of them back to us |

That list of yours has made me realise how many people are missing. I miss Aprilaydee (and her stories of working for the Royal Mail) and Wee terrier. Also we hardly hear from rowanberryjelly these days.
Haven't been on here much myself lately but I do look in almost every day.
What did happen to Plocket? I hope nothing happened on here to upset her.
All the best for the New Year to all our absent friends.

I'm still in touch with some of those people, FA, so I'll pass on your message I exchange occasional emails (& Christmas cards!) with Margi and Anneliesje, and even more occasional emails with PA - Margi was still on the Beeb last time I was there (don't know if she still is because I'm not), and Anneliesje and PA aren't really posting on any boards at the moment, but only because they are too busy doing other things. I see Lottie and Sara regularly on another board, and some of the others occasionally. I'd love to know how some of the other people on your list are too - haven't heard from Plocket, Lord Steve, or Welshblue for ages. I'm also missing Alicat - we used to be in touch via email but I haven't heard from her for ages either - anyone know how she is? I don't visit GWD as much as I'd like to either - too many message boards, too few hours in the day! - & I find I'm more at home on a much smaller forum, as there's just too much for me to be able to follow here. I do try to look in fairly regularly (even if I don't always post anything) though, just so as not to completely lose touch with people. Maybe some of the people on your list do the same? - have you checked their last log-in dates? |

Hello, and a Happy New Year to you all!!! A little Christmas Angel told me about this thread so I thought I'd better pop on and say hello. I'm still logged on permanently so you'd see if I "lurked" btw LOL! I'm sorry I don't visit these days. It sounds weird but I don't feel I've anything to contribute. Nothing upset me though - I sort of drifted away from message boards in general - I don't visit ANY!!! I am on Facebook though, and have a few friends some of you may recognise, and I've been tracked down by one member here ;D Anyway, I'm not going to promise to be a regular visitor, but I will try to visit more often in future - how's that? |

Skarloey, WelshBlue and Captain Cabbage seem to have fallen off the face of the earth though. I don't do much on forums myself these days either. I'm a mod over at Friendly Gardens but it's pretty quiet there most of the time. This place still seems lively though. Might have to pop back in more often ;D |

It is lovely to hear from some of those who have been off the board for a while  I've missed some peoples contributions on the general board and their growing expertise! Real life has a habit of getting in the way of pleasant pastimes, and I usually take peoples absence as meaning there are other, more important things that they are dealing with. I know Weeterrier had other things to do that were taking up most of her time, and Shrubrose has taken on more responsibility at work which has severely curtailed her 'free' time. Don't you bump into any of the people on your list on other forums you visit FA? x Tig |

I occasionally lurk on FG and occasionally post on WWW but that's it for me these days. I don't have the time to keep up with lots of boards any more so I generally pop in here to see who's about and only occasionally venture elsewhere.
It's lovely to see both Plocket and PDB posting here again (and I'm sorry I missed you off my list PDB ;D). Maybe if the word gets out that we're asking about them, a few more old faces might reappear ;D

I keep wondering what has happened to Night Owl,she was very funny Nightowl is enjoying some of the Winter months in Egypt I often hear from her-(via e-mail) she will be Posting as soon as she returns!! She has been a great support to me (as other members have done) She remembers the time when she 'lost' her mother and GWD members gave her support and strength to go on. |
